I came across Pikerton recently, and I've became a big fan of your strip. I'm still reading the archives ATM, and I had to see your blog as well. I totally agree with you, companies don't pay us enough to deal with such crap.

Keep up the good work, man. Cheers.

I'd be a lot more worried about the first paragraph than the last one. I'm sure just about any business has at least one person that brightens everyone's day by not showing up.

On that last paragraph, I hope your boss doesn't have this address. A simple search would find it, y'know. Unless your name isn't really Mike Witmer.

Never thought I'd run into someone more of a nature wuss than I.

I live in a newer development in an area that's gradually being gentrified. Shacks on large plots with rusted out cars in the front yard were snapped up by developers who would subdivide the plot into 4-6 smaller plots and build nice new homes.

Still, on summer nights, if you listen closely, you can hear the trailer park a ways away having their own version of the Jerry Springer show. And on the Fourth, those trailer folk go all out on the fireworks. We homeowners with responsibilities, budgets, and mortgages pooled our money and sent a delegation out to "Boom City" at a nearby reservation to come back with a load that could finally challenge the trailer park.

Either those trailer trash can drive a harder bargain than we can, or they pooled their welfare checks and meth lab dividends and came up with more than we were willing to spend. While we had a good time blowing stuff up, we were outboomed yet again.
